★ Folkmore Roles & Attributes ★

Skills: Negotiation and people skills.
Canon Abilities: Leia eventually becomes a pretty prolific Force user, but currently there isn't much that even suggests she is one. So her abilities are minor at best, being able to read people and know things that are beyond perception.
Role: Legend
Role Qualities/Attributes: A halo. With Leia being already force-sensative, her emotions being attached to those in need will become stronger, and her emotions changing her eyes will be heightened.
Role Reasoning: Leia is still a child, but she is such a pivotal character in the Star Wars universe. She goes from being a catalyst to one of the main characters, her relationship and own journey. Leia is not just the damsel in distress. She exemplifies the good, needing hope, and the determination for the fight in people to not be dominated. As a child she still isn't the main character, but she does have her own journey, learning more about the universe in which she lives. She is only 10, but she is very perceptive and is wise beyond her years, likely from being a Force User. She's also been kidnapped, chased, shot at, and is learning more about who she is-- literally since Obi-Wan knew her mother.

★ Personality ★

What was the most traumatic experience your character endured? How did this change them?
Currently Leia is being held hostage and interrogated by an Inquisitor. This would be traumatic for anyone, but being a small child, her entire last few days of being kidnapped, used as bait and then needed to escape people that are actively trying to capture and perhaps kill her have been harrowing. She’s been chased multiple times, and now the Inquisitor is about to torture her.
Leia has always been fairly independent and precocious, but if anything this experience teaches her what the universe is like outside the very prosperous Core World of Aldaraan. She’s at a pivotal age where she’s starting to understand more about deeper concepts outside of herself, but yet, she still holds onto this very rebellious spirit inside of her, not phased and not willing to give up important information that can save many even in the face of fear and of being tortured. If anything this experience pushes her towards further being the rebel princess we see in the original movies.

What is your character's moral code? Do they have one? Why or why not?
Even at her young age she has a very strong sense of what is right. From the beginning she questioned Obi-Wan even as they should have been escaping. If something does not feel right to her, that is what matters. She isn’t a miss goody two shoes in that sense. She has her own sense of what is right and wrong, and while it’s still on a small level, framed from the sense of duty having grown up as a Princess and her adopted mother is a Queen (her biological mother both a Queen and a Senator).

There is still a sense of what should be right and wrong. She has no problem telling people off though such as her cousin. Leia will stay true to herself no matter what is expected of her, though she is fiercely loyal once that trust is established. What she must do must happen, and it is hard to get her off of that mindset even at a young age. Obi should be returning back to Aldaraan with her. People shouldn’t have to be running from the Empire.

If your character could change one thing about their past, what would it be and why? Or why not?
One of the things that shapes Leia’s life is obviously the fact of who her parents are and what had happened. She doesn’t know who they are, but even at such a young age, she is very aware of her identity (as it is pointed out by her cousin that she’s not actually related to him). She questions Obi if he’s her father, asks when he says he knew her mother. She is able to read between the lines of the lie that Obi tells when he talks about her mother. For her parentage, as much as she loves the Organas, is still a part of her.

She would want to know them, would want to know them as who they were most likely. She doesn’t realize why she’s initially being targeted, that Darth Vader is her father, but this is knowledge that does matter. Luke may be the clear Force User because of this, but Leia is as well, and it might have been more realized if Anakin never turned, if her mother lived. If everything was different.

Which Taylor Swift era is your character going through right now and why?
Leia as her ten year old self is in her debut, self titled Taylor Swift era right now. She is coming out, making herself known. She might not have everything figured out, but she’s sure of herself. She’s proclaiming herself even if it still might be juvenile, but that is because she is. She’s still innocent, still happy to be hare, and not yet jaded by everything that is yet to come.
She’s still young. Leia is reflecting on the importance of home while getting to explore this whole new universe. She’s stretching her feet, finding her footing, but that strength that perseveres and carries through her other eras has emerged. It’s persistent just as much as she is. She’s tight curls and sundresses with that youthful flare that Taylor is known for in her younger, earlier days.
